"Ironworks" Men's Ministries

mens ministries retreat hero

"Ironworks" is a special ministry for the men of our church and community. IronWorks provides varied opportunities for men - young and older - to take time out of their busy schedules to get to know one another, deepen friendships, build lasting relationships, and grow spiritually. This encourages them to follow Christ and learn to be leaders in their home, workplace or school, and the church.

Men's Breakfasts: A number of men gather for weekly breakfasts at local restaurants for Bible study, discussion, fellowship and encouragement. Other larger group breakfast and lunch events are offered at different times of the year.

Retreats and Campouts: The men of Westside get away from their normal routine by joining together at one of our men's retreats and campouts. Retreats include times of practical Bible teaching and opportunities for the men to get to know and encourage one another. Campouts are held in the outdoors so men can build relationships and grow spritually as they enjoy food and fun together

Other events: Throughout the year other special gatherings and events are offered for our men such as a Super Bowl party, lunches and dinners.

See the calendar for times and locations of all Ironworks events.

Women's Ministries

Women of Westside includes a variety of wonderful ministries organized by women for the women of our church and community.

Lifeline: "Lifeline" Bible studies for women meet each week during the school year on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 at Westside. Childcare is provided. These helpful times encourage women of all ages and backgrounds in their relationship with the Lord and with one another through fellowship, prayer and the study of God's Word. See the calendar for times and locations.

Refresh:  "Refresh" provides varied opportunities for women to get together at fun and casual events in order to get to know one another, deepen friendships, build lasting relationships and invite friends.

Summer Connections:  Since many activities take a summer break, Connections offers women an opportunity to gather for fellowship once a week. It's a casual atmosphere with opportunities for women to engage with one another through Bible study, prayer and relationship-building.

Women's Retreats:  Women get away from their normal routine by joining us at one of our fall women's retreats. These retreats include times of practical Bible teaching taught by guest speakers and encouraging, refreshing times of interacting with other women.

Christmas Brunch and Bazaar:  This elegantly decorated Christmas event, held the first Saturday of December, is one of our favorite and most attended events of the year. There is delicious food, an opportunity to shop for gifts at a Christmas bazaar, Christmas music and a special program. Women keep coming back year after year, and they bring their neighbors and friends.

TLC (Tender Loving Care):  We have the opportunity to express love, care and support for one another in times of joy as well as sadness. TLC involves hospital visits, cards, Christian books, meals and flowers to those who are sick or otherwise hurting. New babies and women who are newer to the fellowship are welcomed with special gifts.

Other Special Events:  The women's ministry team loves to plan other special events. Past activities have included Spring ladies' teas, mother-daughter events, fashion shows, fall harvest parties, Valentine's dinners and desserts.

Youth Ministries

youth group hero

Youth ministries at Westside exist to partner with parents to inspire our teens to have a passion for God and desire to impact this world for Him.

Each Sunday morning at 11:00, our youth meet in discussion-oriented classes. Teens learn from the Bible how to live a life that is joyful and pleasing to God despite the pressures of teenage life.

Youth gatherings are also held Sundays 4:00-6:00 pm during the school year. "Bridges" is for senior-high youth while "The Power" is for junior-highers. See the calendar for the meeting times.

Bible teaching and fun activities encourage teens to build strong and wholesome friendships, develop their own personal walk with God and share Jesus Christ with non-Christian friends. Westside provides other opportunities for teens to get connected, including retreats, youth conferences and concerts.

Bridges Power End of Year Photo 2016We make every effort to provide a safe and secure environment for our youth. Because of the widespread problem of child abuse in our society, we have implemented a Child Abuse Risk Reduction (CARR) policy in all of our youth and children's programs.
