The women’s ministry at Westside seeks to equip, encourage, connect and support our women and help them live out their mission as essential partners in fulfilling the Great Commission. We deeply desire for each woman who calls Westside home feel connected, to be growing spiritually, to feel seen, heard, valued, and feel like a valuable part of the body at Westside.
Women's Ministries is led by a team consisting of Amy Hickman (Director of Women's Ministries), Stephanie Gossard, Stacy Ingram., and Tiffany Schwander.
Westside's women's ministries provide many opportunities for the women of our church and community to gather for fellowship, encouragement and spiritual growth. Here are a few of the opportunities provided for women:
Women's Life Groups and Bible Studies: Life Groups and Bible studies just for women are offered. The purpose of these groups is to learn to become disciples of Jesus primarily by gathering in small groups that meet in loving, relational environments. See a list of the current Life Groups being offered. See the Events calendar for current women's Bible studies.
Women’s events: Various gatherings are offered just for women so they can get to know and encourage one another. These are usually held on a quarterly basis.
Women's retreats: Women get away from their normal routine by attending one of our women's retreats. These retreats include times of practical Bible teaching taught by guest speakers and encouraging, refreshing times of interacting with other women. A retreat is held each spring.
Practical helps: The women’s ministry seeks to come alongside women to help with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Whether it's providing meals, new mom care, home visits or emotional support, we strive to be in tune with needs in our body.
