Are you searching for meaningful answers to the basic questions of life? If so, you're not alone.
Many people sense an emptiness and lack of fulfillment to their lives. People these days feel restless, discontented, even bored. And they wonder why. Perhaps you're one of those people.
It may help you to know that others struggle with the same questions. In fact, humankind has been grappling with these issues since nearly the beginning of time. But there is an answer to life's important questions, and some have found it.
You can personally experience the one true source of peace, hope and change that is found only in Jesus Christ.
Some Have Found the Answer
"Man searches in vain, but finds nothing to help him, other than to see an infinite emptiness that can only be filled by One who is infinite and unchanging. In other words, it can only be filled by God Himself." -- Blaise Pascal
"You (God) have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find rest in You. " -- Augustine
Here are Some Answers that We Found in Our Search
We've searched the Biblical documents to find answers to life's basic questions, and this is what we found.
God loves us and has made a great sacrifice in order to have a loving relationship with us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." -- John 3:16
The reason that people continue to feel empty, unfulfilled and detached from God is because we are. We've sinned, and our sin is offensive to God. This has caused us to be separated from him.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." -- Romans 3:23
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." -- Isaiah 59:2
The ultimate penalty for sin is spiritual death. Unless our sin problem is dealt with, we face the prospect of eternal separation from God.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -- Romans 6:23
Those searching for God are often surprised when they come to realize that it is not I searching for God. Rather, it's God seeking me, and Christ himself paid the penalty for my sin.
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." -- Luke 19:10
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." -- 1 Peter 3:18
Finally, we found that each one of us has a decision to make. We can choose to repent of our sin and receive Jesus Christ by faith. Or, we can reject this provision that God has made for us through his Son.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." -- Ephesians 2:8-9
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." -- John 1:12
Jesus is the Answer
Jesus Christ said, "I have come in order that you might have life--life in all its fullness." -- John 10:10 (TEV)
