Where We Want Westside to Be In Five Years
Through faithful proclamation of the gospel in our Sunday services and through growth primarily in small groups, we are seeing ten people who are currently outside of Westside come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus each year, be discipled in the way of Jesus, baptized, and mentored in ministry each year.
Current members of Westside are growing in their love for Jesus through each phase of growth (Infant, Child, Young Adult, and Parent) and are engaging in discipleship (Ex: one on one, 3-4 people).
Through implementing systems for discipleship in all ministries of Westside, we see our Sunday School ministry thriving with 75 kids attending each Sunday, and our weekly youth groups are running at 30-40 youth for Jr High and Senior High (each). Our Life Groups are strong each week as we authentically know and genuinely love each other and have a pattern of branching into new Life Groups.
We are partnering with other area local churches to reach our local community (including our Spanish-speaking neighbors) through practical helps in the name of Jesus. We are offering marriage and parenting classes, recovery classes for pornography addiction, finances, and other community needs. We are looking to branch another new local church in another area to reach more people and make disciples of Jesus.
People from all different kinds of backgrounds, ethnicities, and generations are coming together to hear the life-changing message of the Kingdom of God and are met with kindness and gentleness in an atmosphere of grace and forgiveness.
